I am a Clinical Psychologist experienced in counselling women and families wishing to have emotional support and coping strategies during pregnancy and in the post-natal period (perinatal) to feel mentally well and resilient. Through a nurturing and compassionate approach, I can help you to develop the relationship with your baby which may be affected by past trauma, illness or attachment and bonding issues.
Experience
I have 15 years’ experience as a psychologist working in private practice and the public sector with adults, in child and youth mental health services, and in perinatal and infant mental health services including the Monash mother-baby inpatient psychiatric unit and as a senior clinical psychologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Professional Interests
The therapeutic approaches I use include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Compassion-focused therapy, mentalization-based therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and parent-infant psychotherapy. I have completed training in infant mental health at The Anna Freud Centre in London and Warwick University.
Other areas I have training and experience in include, existential psychotherapy, EMDR (part 1), mindful parenting and newborn observation (NBO).

Post-graduate diploma of psychology

Board approved supervisor- Clinical Psychology
Fees
My fee is $220/hour with a $141.85 Medicare rebate. Telehealth is available after the initial assessment session.
